Dishing on all things engagement party!

Bachelor Nation fans saw Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile find love and get engaged on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise” last summer.

Since then, the two have moved in together in New York City and continue to share their lives with fans on social media and our Bachelor Nation podcasts.

Last month, Serena and Joe celebrated their engagement with a big engagement party in Toronto, where she’s from.

The couple was surrounded by friends and family, including many of their fellow Bachelor Nation stars like Natasha Parker, Mari Pepin, Kenny Braasch, Clay Harbor and more.

Now, Serena is opening up about their big day celebrating and sharing advice for fellow brides.

During an Instagram Q&A, one fan asked Serena how the engagement party was for her and she said, “We had SO much fun at the engagement party! The event came together so beautifully and it was amazing having both our family and friends together in one room to celebrate! Now that it's done I should probably stop procrastinating wedding planning lol it's just so overwhelming!”

Another fan asked for advice as a fellow bride about planning wedding related events.

Serena said, “I’m not sure if this is the answer you're looking for but after having our engagement party my biggest piece of self-care advice is to give yourself more time than you think you need for everything!!”

She went on dishing that, “Example: If you think hair and makeup will take an hour each give yourself 1.5 hours for each. We did a pretty solid job of planning and staying on schedule the day of our engagement party but there were definitely moments that were a little stressful and rushed. I think giving yourself more time than you need allows you to stay relaxed and really take in every single moment and ENJOY IT ALL!”

So sweet and great advice!

Another fan chimed in and asked how it’s been for her and Joe to be living together in NYC.

Serena said, “So far it's great! Joe and I both love living in NYC together! We have been traveling a lot the last few months so we aren't here a ton but when we are in NY we are so happy to just chill and enjoy the city.”

The Bachelor Nation star continued, “We both grew up in big cities (Chicago and Toronto) so there wasn't a huge adjustment for us moving here, even though NY definitely has its own unique vibe! Plus, we are so close to home still that if we want/need to go back and visit we can, which definitely helps the transition.”
