This week on “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation,” Joe Amabile and Tia Booth discussed some of the biggest Bachelor Nation news of the week.

The two talked about Bachelor Clayton Echard and Susie Evan’s split and whether or not they were surprised by the news.

Joe said, “I remember us on the podcast saying to leave them alone and who cares if they were going long distance? We were pro them.”

But Tia chimed in, saying, “We do always say that if there are breakup rumors floating around, sometimes they do end up being true.”

Joe shared some insight about Clayton and Susie’s relationship and revealed whether he was surprised by their split.

He said, “I am not shocked. I like both of them. Serena and I actually went to dinner with them a few times. They seemed fine. You never know, though. Certain couples are very lovey-dovey when you’re with them and some people are more conservative. I don’t like to assume, but I personally think that when Bachelor couples are overly coupley on social media, usually they are not as happy in real life.”

Tia agreed, adding, “When Susie posted about it, she said that social media is a highlight reel. It’s like they assumed they needed to prepare for people to talk about how happy they looked online. They were just on a trip to Bali together not even two weeks ago. I wonder if the trip was already planned.”

Joe also said, “I do think that Clayton is someone who is still very affected by his season. He got a lot of hate and read all of it. I feel like when you are really affected in that way, it can carry into your relationship because the relationship stemmed from the show.”

He went on noting that while he doesn’t think that what they were posting on social media wasn’t real, it just is never the full story of a relationship.

Tia and Joe said they hope both Susie and Clayton and grow and learn from this experience and move forward with their lives.

Their breakup did, however, inspire a new Bachelor Nation show idea for Joe.

He said, “I think they should do an ex on the beach type of ‘Paradise,’ where it’s only former leads who are no longer with their partner. Bring them all back!”

Tia chimed in, saying, “That would be awesome. People do reconnect, like Peter and Kelley, who were spotted out again together this week!”
