Gabby Windey Reveals Why She & Erich Schwer Broke Up: ‘We Weren’t Each Other’s Best Match’

Fans saw former Bachelorette Gabby Windey find love and get engaged to Erich Schwer on Season 19.
Since their time on the show, the two had been enjoying life together in Los Angeles as Gabby has been competing for the Mirrorball Trophy on “Dancing with the Stars.”
But during last night’s episode of “DWTS,” Gabby revealed that she and Erich are no longer together.
As Gabby and her partner partner Val Chmerkovskiy prepared their waltz routine to Des’ree’s “I Am Kissing You,” the former Bachelorette revealed why this song is so meaningful to her right now.

Gabby said, “For me, it holds a special place because I did just go through a breakup.”
She went on, sharing, “The end of our relationship happened because we weren’t completely in step and in sync with each other on our common goals or just the way we approach life. We weren’t each other’s best match.”
While dancing through an admittedly challenging time, Gabby shared that she’s looking at positive role models in her life as inspiration.
She told Val, “I’m just so grateful that my dad and my stepmom encompass so many fundamentals and values that I look for in a relationship.”

As she got ready for their performance, Gabby said, “I want to channel that kind of everlasting love in this dance.”
And the emotions definitely came through in her dancing.
Gabby and Val earned a perfect score of 40 and high praise from the entire judging panel.
The two have secured their spot in the “Dancing with the Stars” finale next week.
