Becca Tilley, Colton Underwood & More Visit White House for Historic Same-Sex Marriage Bill Signing
Loud and proud!
On Tuesday, President Joe Biden signed a bill codifying federal recognition of same-sex and interracial marriage in all 50 states.
The Respect for Marriage Act, which the House passed last week, came amid concerns about the right to gay marriage following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
And some of our Bachelor Nation family was there to watch Biden sign the bill into a law.
Becca Tilley and her girlfriend Hayley Kiyoko posed in front of the White House, which was lit up with rainbow lights.
Alongside the photos, Becca wrote, “Today was awesome” with a rainbow pride emoji.

Becca’s girlfriend Hayley also shared photos from the special moment, writing, “I wish I could tell my younger self - a closeted biracial girl searching for acceptance - that one day I could live authentically and choose to legally marry whomever I love regardless of their race or sexual orientation. The Respect for Marriage Act secures the safety of so many unions around the country, and it was an honor to be there today to witness history.”
Becca commented on Hayley’s post, writing, “I love you, I was so proud to be there with you today!”
And Becca wasn’t the only Bachelor Nation star in attendance at the major event.

Colton Underwood, who famously came out as gay last year, also attended the bill signing with his fiancé Jordan Brown.
Alongside photos from the day, the former Bachelor wrote, “Another incredible trip to DC. I had great conversations with Senators and members of Congress about protecting and supporting the mental health of college athletes and I watched the president sign a law to protect and honor my marriage.”
What a special moment! We love seeing Bachelor Nation stars at such historic events like this one.
Love is love!
