Bachelor Nation fans are getting to know Kylee and Jess on Zach Shallcross’ season of “The Bachelor.”

During their group date with Zach this week, the two women stopped by for an exclusive chat with BachelorNation.com about the season so far.

Bachelor Nation: Thank you so much for chatting with Bachelor Nation! How are you feeling about your connection with Zach so far?

Kylee: My time has been amazing thus far. I do wish I could have a little more time with Zach. It’s obviously limited how much time we each get with him. You don’t truly realize that until you get here, but clearly he sees something in me to keep me here and he wants me to stay. So I’m just excited to have more opportunities to get to know him better.

Jess: I feel like so far I’ve created a strong connection with Zach. I’m really thankful to be here and to get the time to get to know him. It’s been really fun and not anything like I expected. Zach has way exceeded my expectations, so I’m really excited about all that’s to come.

BN: How have you been making the most of your one-on-one time with Zach?

Kylee: Every time I speak with Zach, I try to be so present in the moment. Of course, I have nerves going into it. It’s that cute, giddy, nervous feeling when I speak to him. I just try to seize every opportunity with Zach and talk to him about the things that are important to me in that moment. I let it organically happen.

Jess: I make the most of every conversation I have with Zach and I trust that the conversations that we have are helping our relationship keep growing as every minute goes by.

BN: Has this experience on “The Bachelor” been how you expected it to be so far?

Kylee: This journey has been everything and more than what I expected. There are obviously hard moments, and it’s been an emotional roller coaster, but at the end of the day I’m thankful to be here and that Zach is the incredible guy we thought he would be. Zach is so intentional. You come into the house and you’re surrounded by so many beautiful women, which can make you feel like you don’t belong. I’ve had that mindset a bit and Zach always makes me feel like the only girl in the room when we talk. He makes you feel like you deserve to be here and that he wants you here.

Jess: This whole experience has been incredible so far. I had a feeling Zach would be awesome, but getting to know him and seeing how incredible he is is very rare in a guy these days. I really like how welcoming he feels. He makes me feel so special when we talk. Being seen is something that I never felt in past relationships, so he has definitely made me feel seen and comfortable. Our conversations just flow so well.

BN: What are you looking forward to in the rest of the season?

Kylee: I am looking forward to sharing more of my story with Zach. I grew up not knowing my biological father and a lot has stemmed from that for me. Everything I’ve been through shaped me to become the person I am today. I’ve been through a lot of struggles to get to where I am currently, so I would love a one-on-one date with Zach where I can share more of myself with him. I want to make sure I have enough time with him to share all of this with him, so eventually I hope to get a one-on-one!

Jess: I definitely want to open myself up more to Zach. Initially, I can come off as shy and sweet, but I do have a spicy fun side of me. As I get more comfortable and open up to him, I’m really looking forward for him to learn more about all the parts of me and I learn all about him too.
