Aly & Brooklyn Dish on Christina & Anastasia Drama from ‘Women Tell All’: ‘We Live in This Roster Culture’
Dishing on the drama.
After this week’s “Women Tell All” episode of “The Bachelor,” some of Zach’s women stopped by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to discuss the episode and break down what happened.
Co-hosts Becca Kufrin and Michelle Young first asked about the drama involving Christina Mandrell and how she handled herself at “Women Tell All.”
Brooklyn started off by saying, “Seeing Christina again at ‘Women Tell All,’ we knew that the drama was going to come up. I was like, ‘Oh, Lord, here we go.’ I wondered if she could recognize what happened, especially after being able to watch it back, and see where she went wrong or how her actions were affecting others.”
She went on, saying, “I was interested to see how that was going to go and I was a little nervous, honestly. She knows exactly what to say and how to say it, but I don’t feel like her actions always portray that, so I was interested to see if we would have a learning moment from this opportunity to watch it back or if we’re still blowing smoke. I feel like we’re still blowing smoke.”

Becca noted that Christina did take accountability but asked Brooklyn if it felt genuine in person.
Brooklyn said, “At the moment it seemed genuine, however I don’t know if she’ll have the opportunity to be back in that situation and I haven’t spoken to her or seen her since. I’m not monitoring her actions, but the way she spoke did seem genuine.”
Michelle chimed in, saying she thinks we’ll be seeing Christina on “Bachelor in Paradise” this summer before Aly gave her two cents.
Aly said, “I do think Christina’s response was genuine. However, I think she’s oblivious to how her actions affect others. I think she genuinely meant everything she said, but it still negated the fact that she did say things that were harmful and never took the time to take herself out of her head space and understand how those things affected other people.”
She continued, adding, “While I also do not follow any of those Bachelor fan accounts, stuff did pop up where she was going viral talking about Brianna and for me, that double down on while her intentions were to be goofy or funny, it still negated the fact that it was harmful for Brianna. So from that standpoint, I love her, respect her, and I’m glad that we can move forward, but I still think there are actions needed to be taken so she fully understands the power she holds with the following that she has.”

Aly noted that Brianna has gotten hateful messages because people still don’t understand the full story and how it hurts to see a friend go through that.
The women also discussed the rumor that Anastasia had a boyfriend at home during filming that was brought up.
Aly shared her thoughts on the matter, saying, “I was purely annoyed at all the screaming words with no meaning. Someone said they had receipts, and I was like, ‘Okay, pull them out! Where are they?’ Just screaming that you have them without actually backing them up means nothing. You also have to realize that this does affect people’s actual lives.”
She went on, saying, “This is not the time to just throw out complete lies. I know Anastasia’s character and I know who she is as a person and she’s not the one to hide it. She’d be the one to say ‘Yeah, I’ve got two boyfriends, what’s good?’ So while I can’t confirm or deny any of this, if you were actually here and knew her as a person, you would know who she is and how she shows up and that’s just not how she shows up. I can say many things about her, but lying about the people she talks to isn’t something. If it ever did come out to be true, I would still be shocked, jaw on the floor, because that’s just not who she is.”
And Aly also shared a hot take about dating and the months leading up to going on “The Bachelor.”
She said, “That’s also coupled with the fact that we live in this roster culture. You’re telling me that leading up to the show, you never talked to one boy or kissed one boy or communicated with one boy, hand me your phone! That’s just not true,” Aly shared.

“It would be a lie if we all said that for the months leading up to the show, we just deleted every boy in our phones and never desired for someone to like us. So boyfriend or no boyfriend, flirting or no flirting, let’s be adults here. You can talk to who you want to talk to. She was exclusively with Zach from our understanding while she was on the show, so what does it matter at all?”
