On this week’s episode of “The Bachelor,” fans saw Zach promise to not have sex during Fantasy Suite dates and then fail to keep his promise.

After his date with Gabi, Zach revealed that they were intimate during their overnight date, and he said he felt like sharing this information was the right thing to do.

Now, Bachelor Nation fan-favorite couple Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt discussed the episode on this week’s “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast.

Serena started off by sharing why she feels for Gabi after watching the dramatic episode unfold.

She said, “I really feel for Gabi in this situation. On one hand, he is saying that he is going to go tell Kaity that they slept together. But not only is he telling Kaity, he’s telling everyone that’s watching. Something that went down in the Fantasy Suite that in Gabi’s mind was totally private, and what goes down in the Fantasy Suite, stays in the Fantasy Suite. Vegas rules.”

Serena went on, adding, “I’d be like, ‘Now you’re coming to me and exposing this to everyone watching, and all of my friends and family know that I slept with you and now you’re going to go tell another girl about it too, all while telling me how much you like me and that you’re falling for me.’ It’s all mixed into one and I was so overwhelmed by the conversation.”

Joe agreed and added his own thoughts on the tricky situation.

He said, “When you go on a reality show, you have to expect that everything you do has the potential to be shown. We don’t know the conversation they had in private. Maybe Zach said something about it to her in the Fantasy Suite about telling Kaity. But if Zach told her that it was just between the two of them and then went and told everyone that’s different. We do feel for Gabi because that must feel like sh*t.”

Serena chimed back in, saying, “Yes, but that’s the one time where there is actual privacy. She may be thinking that if she knew he would do that, maybe she would’ve made different decisions and now that’s kind of taken away from her. She also probably understands that he’s in a hard position, that he put himself in 100%, but he’s trying. This whole week, Zach was trying to do the right thing and what he believed to be the right thing. He just made the week way harder for himself than he needed to.”

Joe gave Zach a little grace and said he’s been trying to do the right thing and it seems like he just made a mistake.

Joe said, “I feel like the whole season Zach has been really trying to do the right thing and for the most part he has, but sometimes give yourself a little grace here. Know that you’re dating 30 women and it’s not going to be smooth. You’re probably going to screw up a bunch, and that’s okay.”
