J.P. Rosenbaum Reveals If He Hopes to Get Married Again and Dishes on Dating in His 40s
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation stars Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum famously met on Season 7 of “The Bachelorette” and tied the knot on TV in 2012. In October 2020, the couple announced their decision to split following a monthslong separation.
Since their split, Ashley and J.P. have been focused on co-parenting their two children, son Ford and daughter Essie.
Now, J.P. just took to his Instagram stories for a Q&A, where he opened up about dating after a divorce, co-parenting, and whether he would ever go on “Bachelor in Paradise.”
A fan asked J.P. how he and Ashley divide their time with their children since their split and he said, “We are on a 2-2-3, but both of us are pretty flexible and there are lots of shares events like soccer games, basketball games, dance, etc.”
He also shared that despite their divorce he “never in a million years” would have any regrets about going on “The Bachelorette” and finding love the way he did.
J.P. shared some advice for a fan who has also started dating again after a long-term relationship.
He said, “I would say just jump right in with both [feet] and don’t let time pass you by! But… also acknowledge that you might not be ready and that’s ok too! It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go through the motions. Go out there, meet new people, and have some fun without putting any pressure on yourself. Timing is everything!”
J.P. also opened up about dating in his 40s when a fan asked, “Why does dating in your 40s suck so bad?!”
The Bachelor Nation star wrote, “I wouldn’t say it sucks! It’s just different! Some might even say it’s better. There’s much less BS. You know what works and what doesn’t. You know what you want and aren’t afraid to let it be known!”
As far as his dating life goes, J.P. remained tight-lipped about his relationship status and didn’t reveal if he’s currently seeing anyone or not.
He did, however, share that he still has hope for long-term love again in his future.
When a fan asked if he is open to remarrying again one day, J.P. said, “I’m all for the full commitment! The love, the friendship, the team, the good, the bad, the works! The legal part of it is less important to me, but sure, I would if it meant that much to my partner.”
Love that! We always love hearing from J.P.!
