This Week in Bachelor Nation History: Kevin & Astrid Get Back Together After He Admits He Messed Up

As Bachelor Nation fans get excited for Season 9 of “Bachelor in Paradise” to premiere this month, we’re looking back on an iconic “Paradise” moment with an iconic “Paradise” couple.
This week in Bachelor Nation history, we’re taking it back to a very special moment on the beaches of “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 5.
This week in 2018, we watched Kevin and Astrid hit a rocky patch in their relationship after being one of the strongest couples on the beach the entire season.
Amid their relationship going really well, Kevin casually mentioned to Astrid that he would want her to go on a date with another guy if the opportunity came up.
When Astrid seemed hurt and asked why, he said it was because their relationship had felt too easy so far.
After some highs and lows and both parties crying, Kevin revealed that he was just feeling insecure that the “shoe would eventually drop.”
He shared that she is his “dream girl,” so he’s always worried that she will decide to leave him for someone else.
During their conversation, Kevin admitted that he’s usually in therapy and didn’t have anyone else to share this experience with besides Astrid and she genuinely appreciated him sharing.
After her initial confusion, the two got back on the same page and made up.
Astrid shared that she didn’t expect to have such strong feelings so soon and Kevin revealed to her that he’s falling in love.
Now, years later, the couple is married with their second baby on the way!
True love was found on the beaches of “Paradise,” and we couldn’t be happier for Kevin, Astrid, and their growing family.
