This Week in Bachelor Nation History: 'Paradise' Split Week Leads to New Drama and New Arrivals!
Split Week!
As we’re watching Season 9 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” we’re throwing it back to an iconic moment in Bachelor Nation history.
This week last year, “Bachelor in Paradise” made history with their first ever Split Week twist.
During this week, the original cast of women left the beach and the original “Paradise” cast was split up.
The men and women both got to meet five new arrivals each while they were split up for a week, and their original relationships were put to the test.
Emotions ran high, and just when you thought “BIP” couldn’t possibly get more dramatic, think again!
Jesse Palmer said, “Everything is about to change. ‘Paradise’ as you know it will never be the same.”
Aaron Clancy described the moment as “an absolutely atomic level bomb [that] was dropped of biblical proportions that will be written in the ‘Paradise’ hex.”
During Split Week, the original couples had no contact with one another and had the ability to date individually.
The five new women who joined the original cast of men in “Paradise” were Kate Gallivan, Eliza Isichei, Jessenia Cruz, Sarah Hamrick, and Florence Alexandra.
The original women were particularly heated about the split, with Lace calling it “so f*cked up” and Genevieve calling it “f*cking insane.”
As they packed their bags crying, they had no idea that five new men would also be joining them at their new hotel.
The new men who joined the original cast of women at their new hotel were Adam Todd, Alex Bordyukov, Olu Onajide, Rick Leach, and Tyler Norris.
