Clare Crawley Calls Out Mom Shamers as She Preps for Baby: ‘Can We Please Not with These Messages?!’

In July, former Bachelorette Clare Crawley announced that she and her husband Ryan Dawkins are expecting their first child via surrogate.
Last month, Clare revealed that she and Ryan are having a baby girl, and she’s been documenting the process of getting ready for their baby to arrive.
As Clare and Ryan prepare for their daughter’s birth in January, Clare just took to her Instagram Stories to share DMs she’s been receiving.
In response to Clare pulling out her snow gear for the year, one person wrote, “Get that all in before the baby comes… It all changes.”
Clare shared the DM and wrote, “I’ve been getting more and more messages like this as it gets closer to the baby getting here — in regards to sleep as well. Can we please not with these messages?!”
The mom-to-be went on, saying, “I KNOW our lives are going to change. I KNOW sleep will be lost. I’ve prayed my whole life to be a mom! Sending messages like this is not kind, helpful, or supportive. Thanks!”
Clare shared messages she received in response to her follow-up and fans filled her DMs with positive comments.
One person wrote, “You guys are going to do great! Forget all the negative ‘just wait’ comments… Just wait until they give you kisses just because, or their first giggle, or the first time they learn something new. You adjust to the lack of sleep and it gets better as time goes on!”
Another fan said, “I do just as much as I used to before becoming a mom. Sure it’s a little harder and more complicated, but I wouldn’t give it up for the world!”
We love how candid Clare always is and we know her message will help others dealing with similar feedback.
