1. A taboo topic I love talking about is: When I asked my son before leaving for “The Golden Bachelor” if he had any advice for me, he said, “Yeah, don’t talk about astrology.” Thank you, Tommy. Good advice, but when I got there, I discovered that almost everyone in California talks about astrology. It seemed like everyone knew their sun, moon, and rising signs and almost everyone had already had their entire astrological charts done. So much for not talking about it!
2. I think a celebrity couple that is the definition of #relationshipgoals is: I think that a celebrity couple that is the definition of #relationshipgoals is Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici Lowe. There is just so much genuine love and laughter in this relationship and in this family. They are so great together!
3. My guilty pleasure is: Tiramisu! Everyone who knows me knows how much I love tiramisu. But they also know that I really don’t eat sugar. So, if I’m going to go off my “no sugar” rule, it has to be the real deal, authentic tiramisu, meaning layers of ladyfingers soaked in espresso or dark coffee and amaretto, rum or cognac, with a filling of mascarpone cheese. So rich, yet light and creamy, basically heaven! Tiramisu in Italian means “pick me up,” and it was a “siora” (madam) from Treviso who created it in 1800. She served it to customers in a brothel as a sort of aphrodisiac. I can believe that!
4. The best relationship advice I ever received was: The best relationship advice I’ve ever received is to never take your partner for granted.
5. My zodiac sign is ___________ and my most [insert zodiac sign] trait would be: I am a Leo, and my most Leo traits are that I am compassionate, optimistic, outgoing, and I also strive to always keep my word!
6. My biggest pet peeve is: My biggest pet peeve is seeing anyone doing or saying anything that is unfair to another person or animal.
7. The first thing I do when I wake up is: The first thing I do when I wake up is check the weather in both Shrewsbury, New Jersey, and in the town in South Carolina where my son and his family live. Next, I check the stock futures and say, “Alexa, turn on CNBC.” Then I put the protein shake that I’ve prepared the night before on my Bullet. It took me a while to come up with the exact recipe, and I absolutely love it!
8. My last meal on earth would be: My last meal on earth would be my usual large midday meal of spinach or any other dark green leafy vegetable, chopped up cruciferous vegetables, tomatoes, red onions, sunflower seeds, slivered almonds, avocados, chickpeas, cucumbers, and roasted chicken or turkey, with lots of extra-virgin olive oil, oregano, sea salt, and balsamic vinegar. Oh, wait. I’m about to die? Okay, then, I’ll have tiramisu, Key lime pie, cheesecake, butter pecan ice cream, and a large mocha milkshake! You can skip the salad.
9. The song that always makes me want to dance is: The song that always makes me want to dance is “Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better)” by Chaka Khan and Rufus. It’s about a man who loves this woman so much and who makes her feel so good that no other man can come close. The sound and the lyrics are deep and soulful, and I want to dance every time I hear it. It hit number one on the R&B chart for the week ending October 15, 1983. So, I’m probably not the only one who feels this way (if you’re about my age!).
10. My hidden talent is: My hidden talent, for some strange, unknown reason, is that I’m good at cornhole. I have no idea why, but ever since I picked up one of those bags, there’s been no looking back. I’m certain my streak will end now that I’ve told everyone!
11. The person that inspires me the most is: I am inspired by my son and my daughter equally. They are so good and kind and smart and accomplished. Both have their own successful businesses that they’ve built from the ground up. I am so incredibly proud of them and so inspired by them.
12. The movie I’ve rewatched the most is: The movie I’ve rewatched the most is “The Big Chill.” It’s pretty much the epitome of a movie about my generation, but it’s much more than that. If you haven’t seen it, it’s about a group of old college friends who get together at one of their homes for a funeral of one of the friends who killed himself. Sounds depressing, I know. But the soundtrack is incredible, and the feeling I get watching it is just so warm… like I’m surrounded by good friends talking about their lives and dancing in the kitchen to “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg.” But the rest of the soundtrack is equally amazing, like a musical trip through the ’60s and ’70s. I mean really, “I Heard it Through the Grapevine,” “My Girl,” “A Whiter Shade of Pale,” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” and “I Second That Emotion” are all so great. The whole movie just makes me feel good, and I always want to watch it with someone I love.
13. The most famous person who I’d love to meet is: The most famous person I’d like to meet is Jennifer Lawrence. She is so open and honest, brave, vulnerable, and funny. She doesn’t seem to care about what anyone thinks of her and appears to be able to completely be her genuine self, even embracing embarrassing moments. She’s also a bit of a rebel. I could take many lessons from her.
14. My favorite emoji is: Okay, I hardly ever use emojis or I use them very sparingly. But I do send people that I love balloons and confetti and a big red heart on their birthday. I also don’t use LOL or OMG. I kind of just spell out what I want to say. I’ll actually say, “You just made me laugh out loud” or just Ha or Haha. I don’t know. It just feels better to me spelling it out instead of abbreviating anything.
15. My favorite part of being on “The Golden Bachelor” was: My favorite part of being on “The Golden Bachelor” was meeting Gerry and all the wonderful and incredible women and all of the producers! My favorite moment was the first night. I mean, how exciting was that? The anticipation for it was beyond words for all of us. We were all meeting each other for the very first time!

17. My celebrity crush is: Robert Downey Jr. He is so open, warm, charming, funny, fearless, deep, smart, and nice, but with an edge. Plus, he came back from a very dark place and, seriously, he’s Iron Man!
18. My advice for anyone who goes on “The Golden Bachelor” in the future is: My advice for anyone who goes on the Golden Bachelor in the future is to first and foremost, be yourself. Easy to say, but hard to do sometimes when there is a camera staring right at you. One should go into it with an open mind and to really listen, have fun, laugh, and keep your heart open!
