Aloha, memories! This week marks two years since beloved Bachelor Nation couple Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham tied the knot on January 12, 2019.

Less than a year after announcing their engagement at the end of “The Bachelor” Season 22, the pair wed at Maui’s Haiku Mill in a breathtaking ceremony officiated by host Chris Harrison.

Arie and Lauren — who stunned in a plunging gown with glittering floral embellishments — welcomed 100 guests, including such notable “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” stars as Marikh Mathias, Maquel Cooper, Jennifer Delaney, Jacqueline Trumbull, Jenna Cooper, Sean Lowe, and Catherine Giudici.

“For the past year, I have dreamt of this day,” Arie said tearfully in his vows to Lauren. “I pictured you walking toward me down that aisle. And you’re even more beautiful standing here than I ever could have imagined. This has been an incredible, life-changing year, and you’ve been the difference. You have the most gentle heart, and I can honestly say that you have made me a better man. I am the best version of myself because I’m with you.”

Lauren, who hid her first pregnancy underneath her wedding dress, became emotional as she spoke about having a child with Arie in her own vows. “I can’t wait to meet our daughter and see your bond with her grow,” she told the race car driver-turned-real estate developer. “I promise to always support you and encourage you to chase your passions. I promise to help share the weight of our challenges, because together, there’s nothing that we cannot face if we stand together. I promise to always love you, inspire you, trust you, and respect you.”

Arie and Lauren — who live in Scottsdale, Arizona — arrived in Hawaii several days before their nuptials to enjoy the island, taking a romantic helicopter tour and sharing a celebratory drink on top of a lush mountain. Later, when friends and family members arrived, they treated their loved ones to a lavish rehearsal dinner and sunset cruise.

Thrilled about being part of Arie and Lauren’s festivities — and presiding over their big day — Chris wrote on Instagram, “It’s been an incredible week full of love and laughs. Today I’m honored to stand before your friends and family and officiate your wedding. Love you both.”

After becoming husband and wife, Arie and Lauren welcomed daughter Alessi in May 2019. Last month, the couple revealed that Lauren was pregnant and expecting twins — who are due to arrive in June — following a devastating miscarriage in May 2020.
