Lace Morris Discusses Her ‘Messy’ Relationship with Her Baby’s Father: ‘We’ve Tried to Make It Work’
Getting candid.
Bachelor Nation fans first met Lace Morris on Season 20 of “The Bachelor,” and she returned to our screens for Seasons 3 and 8 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Then over the summer, Lace hard launched her relationship with marketing mogul Ryan Nelson as she also announced that they were expecting their first child together.
Now, Lace is getting candid about her relationship status with Ryan and where they are at going into welcoming their son Liam into the world.
Lace took to Instagram for a candid Q&A where she said the most asked question was if she and Ryan broke up.
Lace got personal with her answer, saying, “I’m just not ready to talk about it too much yet. It’s kind of messy, but I guess technically no we’re not. We’re living together, but you gotta understand, we made a baby right as we started dating. You don’t really know a person and that changes a lot.”
The Bachelor Nation star went on, saying, “We’ve tried to make it work, we just don’t know where it’s going to go, but right now our focus is being here for Liam obviously. When I’m ready to talk about it more I will, you guys know I like to keep it real, but this one is just still kind of messy and we’re trying to figure it out. Unfortunately right now, it’s not working though.”
Lace also answered a fan question who asked how she’s doing and she shared how her relationship struggles have taken a toll on her during this time.
She said, “I am doing ok. I am trying to stay motivated. I am excited about Liam, he is truly the biggest blessing. I wouldn’t change this for the world and there’s a reason he came into our lives and this all happened.”
Lace added, “No one wants the world to see that their relationship is failing though. I think this is a great platform to be honest and real. It’s really hard. I am struggling that I don’t get the family and the perfect outcome that I was hoping for. This is life and we will figure it out. I’m staying as strong as I can for Liam.”
Lace ended her Q&A sharing that physically she’s really enjoyed pregnancy, but it’s been mentally really tough and that she “doesn’t wish relationship stress on any pregnant woman.”
We’re thinking of Lace and wishing her all the best as she gets ready to enter the next chapter of motherhood.
We know that her sharing her struggles will help others going through something similar.
