Bachelor Nation fans first met Kit Keenan on Season 25 of “The Bachelor,” and she’s continued to keep us updated with her life on social media since the show.

Kit shares everything from incredible recipes, workouts, and travel tips to fashion inspo and more with her hundreds of thousands of followers.

Recently, Kit opened up on TikTok about her feelings on monogamy and a quote that changed her entire perspective on life and love.

While getting ready, Kit got candid, saying, “Most of us are going to have two to three marriages in our lifetime; some of us are going to do it with the same person. This is a quote from Esther Perel that I discuss a lot in therapy. Both of my parents have been remarried multiple times and I have very little hope for monogamy because of that. Esther’s point is really about having multiple chapters within the same relationship. She really challenges the way we think about monogamy as a super linear journey.”

The Bachelor Nation star then got into a conversation she had with her father that also opened her eyes to this new outlook.

Kit said, “I was talking to my dad at dinner the other night and he was telling me that he’s had seven loves of his life. Now, my dad is a Pisces; he’s a very emotional guy. I’ve literally seen him cry at ASPCA commercials, so it’s understandable that he has been in love so many times, and I’ve definitely had my first love, but I am nowhere near seven.”

She also shared why it’s been so hard for her to have hope that she’d meet “the one” one day.

Kit explained, “Let’s be clear: I think there’s a big difference between a love story and a life story. Love and long-term commitment don’t necessarily go together. Neither of my parents have done a life partner thing and I was like, ‘There is literally no hope for me.’ That quote has totally reframed my thinking because it’s made me believe that I could be with one person forever.”

She went on, saying, “Our relationship is just going to have to go and evolve with us. This might sound so simple to those of you who have had good examples, but for those of us who have literally no basis to go off of, this is life-changing. You can have the same relationship with a thousand people or you can have a thousand relationships with the same person. It’s up to you to decide. There’s hope.”
