This Week in Bachelor Nation History: Tanner Tolbert & Jade Roper Tolbert Get Engaged in ‘Paradise’
Walking down memory lane!
This week in Bachelor Nation history, we’re looking back on the moment that fan-favorite couple Tanner Tolbert and Jade Roper Tolbert got engaged on Season 2 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Nine years ago this week, Tanner got down on one knee during the finale and asked Jade to marry him!
The two met on the beaches of Mexico and quickly fell in love. After a strong romance throughout the season and exchanging their first “I love you,” Tanner made it official and popped the question.
During the beautiful proposal, Tanner shared, “What we have is worth so much more than a million roses. I love you, Jade, and I want to keep on loving you for the rest of my entire life. So, will you make me the happiest man on Earth and marry me?”
Jade happily accepted and was giddy as Tanner slipped the ring on her finger.
How sweet!
The two embraced and shared a passionate kiss, then walked down the beach holding hands to celebrate the special moment.
Jade and Tanner shared afterward that they were planning on moving in together and were looking forward to their wedding. The beautiful ceremony took place less than a year later in Dana Point, California, which we all saw unfold during the live wedding special.
Since then, they’ve welcomed children Emerson, Brooks, and Reed, and have set down roots in Kansas City.
We love these two, their entire family, and their love story! We can’t wait to watch it continue to unfold over the years.
