Get to know Chock a little better below!
1. I think a celebrity couple that is the definition of #relationshipgoals is: Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves. They put family and faith at the forefront of their relationship. Both support the arts and youth development and are seemingly selfless and truly appreciate how blessed they are.
2. My guilty pleasure is: Ice cream — Ben and Jerry’s Half Baked. The issue is I can’t stop once I start. Ice cream is my comfort food. Having had several surgeries in the past 10 years, ice cream has always been my go-to pain alleviator.
3. The best relationship advice I ever received was: Twofold: Before you consider making a comment, always remember “Do you want to be right or happy?” and make sure you tell your partner that you love them every night before they fall asleep.
4. My zodiac sign is ___________ and my most [insert zodiac sign] trait would be: Virgo. I’m disciplined and reliable. There is an old saying, “What makes you good can also make you bad.” While taping the show, I had my first caffeine in over a decade and I loved every sip of that cappuccino. It’s amazing what a pretty lady will entice you to do.
5. My biggest pet peeve is: Traffic and bad drivers. If I were king for a day, I would have special lanes built for those who are on their cell phones or drive 15 miles an hour under the speed limit while in the left lane.
6. The first thing I do when I wake up is: Brush my teeth, head to the gym to meet my buds where we talk a little more than we work out, and then off to work. Been in this routine for 30-plus years and it’s simply second nature at this point in my life.
7. My last meal on earth would be: A cowboy-cut blackened rib-eye, no sides, and a nice red from France. I recently had this cut of steak and it was so freaking good. I only have one or two steaks a year and it was everything I remembered.
8. The song that always makes me want to dance is: Marvin Gaye, “Let’s Get It On.” There is not a woman in the world who doesn’t melt to this song.
9. My hidden talent is: Math and numbers. It just comes naturally and I practice daily to keep up the memory and thought process.
10. My current phone screen saver is: Super Tubbs, the black Lab I share with a good friend. Tubbs is without a doubt the smartest dog on the planet. He can get me to fetch, roll over, and frankly make more space for him on the bed when he feels a need to stretch.
11. The person that inspires me the most is: Easy answer: my mother, Jill. She was one of the kindest, smartest, and most friendly people I have ever known. She recently passed and I miss and think of her every day. She was so patient and understanding with me. I am blessed to have her as my mother.
12. The movie I’ve rewatched the most is: “Gladiator.” Best movie ever — have watched at least 25 times. The cinematography and acting for a movie 20 years old was ahead of its time. Can’t wait to see “G2” later this year — should be epic!!!!
13. The most famous person who I’d love to meet is: Clint. My man Clint Eastwood, I have been a fan my entire life. From Westerns to dramas, he is simply incredible, and from what I know about Clint, he is a solid human. Please call me Clint — I will be there tomorrow morning and I’m buying.
14. The last thing I Googled is: Direct flights out of Wichita, Kansas. Wichita is a great place to live and raise your kids, just have to travel when the opportunity arrives and nonstops are another one of my guilty pleasures.
15. My favorite part of being on “The Golden Bachelorette” was: Meeting and connecting with Joan. She is why and the only reason I went on this journey. Joan is every man’s dream; just wish I had met her earlier.
16. Being on “The Golden Bachelorette” taught me: You are never too old to fall in love. Never give up on love. Be open to it, and while life may have thrown you a curveball or two, tomorrow the sun will come out and things will be brighter.
17. If I had to hang out with only three people from Bachelor Nation for the rest of my life, it would be: Gary, Keith, and Dan. I consider all of the guys friends, but these three, we connected to a level in a short period of time that normally takes years.
18. If you go on “The Golden Bachelorette,” don’t forget to pack: I would have packed more comfy casual clothes and some Icy Hot for when I blew out my hamstring. Sandals — you also couldn’t have enough pairs of comfy sandals.
19. Something I still have from my time on “The Golden Bachelorette” is:It’s a secret and you will never guess what it is!!!! I will keep this with me for the rest of my life.
20. Where do you see yourself in five years? Married, retired, playing with grandkids, and grabbing a latte with two shots for someone special. Looking into that special person’s eyes and thinking that I am still the luckiest man alive.
