Zac Clark Shares Touching Post About His ‘Release Recovery’ Alumni
Celebrating major milestones.
Bachelor Nation met Zac Clark on Season 16 of “The Bachelorette,” and as fans remember, Zac shared his struggle with addiction and journey to sobriety with Tayshia Adams on-screen.
Since his time on the show, Zac has continued to share resources for addiction, mental health, and more through his company Release Recovery Addiction Treatment Center.
Zac recently celebrated 13 years of sobriety, and now, he’s celebrating the alumni who’ve gone through his Release Recovery program with a touching message.
Alongside photos from an event celebrating the alumni, Zac wrote, “These are the days that actually matter. The ones I will take with me when I leave this planet. Once a year we invite our alumni back home to Release. It’s an important day because without our alumni, we are nothing.”
He continued, expressing, “I am beyond grateful to everyone who showed up this year. Your smiles and hugs give us the fuel that we need to keep going, to keep doing this work. The transformative power of recovery was radiating through all of you.”
Zac added, “I heard from so many of you about the new found gifts of your existence… marriages, promotions at work, exciting new opportunities, mended relationships, etc. but most importantly I heard about happiness and joy.”
The Bachelor Nation star continued sharing how special the gathering was to him, and also gave congratulations to some alumni who won awards at the event.
He wrote, “Congrats to Nzuki, Sandiya and Jesse who each won Alumni of the Year! Additionally congrats to each of you who showed up today, you are all heroes in my eyes.”
Zac ended his post with one last message of gratitude and hope for those going through addiction recovery.
“Big love to our guy [Sean McGowan] for delivering a powerful message of hope,” he wrote, “and thank you to everyone from our team who made today possible. KEEP GOING!”
So amazing!
We know that Zac continuing to share his story will help so many others, and we’re so proud of everyone who’s gone through their own recovery journeys.
We can’t wait to see what other amazing things Zac does to help people through his company Release Recovery Addiction Treatment Center. Bachelor Nation is sending our love and support!
