Tayshia Adams Shares Her Inspiring Trip to Kenya: ‘Being with and Helping Children Is My Passion’
Making a difference.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know Tayshia Adams on Season 23 of “The Bachelor,” and later when she returned to our screens for Season 6 of “Bachelor in Paradise” and Season 16 of “The Bachelorette” where she got engaged to Zac Clark.
After over a year of being engaged, Tayshia confirmed that the two went their separate ways and she has been sharing updates of her life online ever since.
The Bachelor Nation star has been known for her philanthropy work over the years and sharing about organizations that are near and dear to her heart.
Now, Tayshia is opening up about a recent trip to Kenya where she got to help local kids and find a solution for clean water.
Alongside photos from her travels, she wrote, “My trip to Kenya was nothing short of inspiring. I’ve been blessed with many things in life, but nothing compares to the joy of being around children.”
Tayshia also reflected on a previous trip to Kenya years ago and how fortunate she now feels to have returned.
She expressed, “It’s wild to think that six years ago, I came to Kenya for the first time with my church on a scholarship because I couldn’t afford the trip. Now, here I am again, by the grace of God, in a position to give back to the same place that has given me so much.”
The Bachelor Nation star shared a little bit more about her trip this time around and what it meant to her.
Tayshia wrote, “This past week, I had the honor of meeting my sponsor child which I can’t wait to share more about. Being here reminded me why I love being involved with charities like [World Vision USA.] Being with and helping children is my passion, and I feel that I’m on the right path by making it my mission.”
So amazing!
Tayshia also posted a video, highlighting more about her work with World Vision USA and how she’s helping to find a solution for access to clean water.
She stated, “Water is life. Yet for many in rural areas like Kinango, Kenya, clean water is a daily struggle. This week, I witnessed the severity of the water crisis firsthand.”
Tayshia explained, “With limited rainfall, most water sources have dried up, forcing people to travel miles for basic necessities like drinking, washing, cooking, and farming. Children miss school, and women, often with newborns, walk for hours just to fetch water and despite being contaminated — it’s their only option.”
The Bachelor Nation star then revealed that they are in the first of three phases to improve water access and purification solutions, reducing illnesses among families.
She touched on this experience by sharing, “I had the honor of doing a water walk with the local women. Where I gathered water from a dam, filled my water jug, put it in my head and began to walk a distance. This was SO powerful for me and I’m committed to improving this system. No one should live without access to clean water.”
Tayshia also shared the exciting news that the community she visited finally has better access to water now.
“This community of Kisimani now has access to a water kiosk, which you’ll see us dancing in celebration at that now serves 1,500 people with clean, drinkable water,” she wrote.
She then asked for her followers’ help in sponsoring a child so they can continue the amazing work they’ve already started, and fans filled her comments with words of love and encouragement.
We are so proud of Tayshia and all the amazing work she’s doing to help make a difference in people’s lives.
We can’t wait to see what she does next!
