Colton Underwood Shares Parenting Update and Responds to ‘Dad Shaming’ Comments
Shutting down the haters.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know Colton Underwood on Season 14 of “The Bachelorette,” and he returned to our screens for Season 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise” before becoming the Season 23 Bachelor.
After his time on the Bachelor Nation shows, Colton came out as gay and married his husband Jordan Brown last May in Napa Valley, California.
Earlier this year, the couple celebrated their first anniversary and just welcomed their son Bishop together last month.
Now, the Bachelor Nation star has taken to Instagram to address some rude comments and answer fan Q&As about parenthood.
One fan asked Colton what has felt surprisingly easy and surprisingly hard when it comes to being a parent.
He answered, “Something surprisingly easy was the immediate bond I felt with him. I was nervous for the newborn phase…but it clicked instantly. I understand his cries and noises. Something surprising is how fast he’s growing and changing every day!”
Another fan asked if Colton has felt “dad shamed” due to some rude comments since having baby Bishop.
The Bachelor Nation star replied, “I’ve seen the comments but honestly we are in our happy bubble so they don’t faze me. It helps that I’ve gone through a time in my life when people judged me for everything 😂 It takes a lot to get to me these days.”
One follower also asked Colton how his relationship with his husband Jordan is now since the birth of their son.
He replied, “I fell in love with [Jordan] even more watching him love our baby boy.”
Finally, one fan checked in and asked how things had been going during Bishop’s first month.
Colton responded, “What went well: he eats like a champ. What needs improvement: he has an hour around 7pm where he is all over the place. We call it his witching hour!”
We love hearing updates from Colton and can’t get enough of baby Bishop.
We’re continuing to send our love to him, Jordan, and their entire family during this exciting time!
