Juliana Pasquarosa Gives Advice on How to Cope with Heavy Heartbreak and Anxiety
Keeping it real.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know Juliana Pasquarosa on Season 29 of “The Bachelor,” where she fell in love with and got engaged to Grant Ellis.
A few months ago, the two both took to their Instagram pages to confirm they have unfortunately ended their engagement and broken up.
Since then, Juliana has been keeping fans updated on social media and opening up about her life since the breakup.
Now, the Bachelor Nation star is giving her advice on how to cope with heavy heartbreak as well as anxiety.
During a podcast interview, Juliana said, “I’ve had such a hard time letting people really in. It’s like I want to be a lover girl and in my cutesy ‘that’s my man’ type energy. But then I’m like, gotta protect myself.”
Juliana went on to reveal what has helped her the most in getting through difficult times.
She shared, “The one biggest thing that I think has helped me with the heartbreak that I’ve been through is paying mind to the fact that everything is so temporary and focus on something to get you through. Like the next 10 minutes or the next 20 minutes, or the next hour, the next day. You will slowly start to go through the motions that then will kind of help trigger your mind to be out of that fight or flight.”
The Bachelor Nation star also admitted that her skills for coping with heartbreak have helped her with anxiety and depression.
She said, “I’ve learned that with my struggles with anxiety and depression too. It’s like, how can I get through this? Because it feels so heavy and it feels so strong, and I feel like I’m not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s like, ‘What can I do to put one foot in front of the other and just get there, you know?’”
Juliana then shared the piece of advice her sister gave her that has also helped, revealing, “Something [she] told me too that I really appreciated was acknowledge the feelings, give yourself a cutoff time to feel the feelings for X amount of time, and then put your pants on and go after your day.”
We appreciate Juliana’s honesty and vulnerability, and we know her sharing her story will help others going through a similar experience. We’re wishing her all the best!
