Matt James Reflects on Predictions for His Life 15 Years Later: ‘Let’s See What Holds True’

Bachelor Nation got to know Matt James on Season 25 of “The Bachelor,” where he found love with Rachael Kirkconnell.
Earlier this year, Matt revealed that the two had unfortunately broken up, and Rachael shared it was due to each of them deciding they wanted different things.
Matt has been keeping followers updated with his life online, often posting about his food and running adventures in New York City.
This week, the former Bachelor took to social media to reveal that he did an interview his freshman year of college predicting what his future would look like.
Now, he’s sharing that interview for the first time and seeing which predictions came true 15 years later.
He said, “This Q&A is from my freshman year of college where I predicted my future. Now, 15 years later, let’s see what holds true.”
In response to the questions asking what activities he does on campus besides football, Matt shared a current picture of him and his friend playing video games as he shared his answer, “I play video games and watch Netflix, and hang out with friends.”
Another question asked if he played any other sports in high school, and Matt said, “I ran track and cross country.”
Matt also said that his dream job would be to play in the NFL or to become an investment banker. He also said his favorite NFL team is the Packers, which seems to still hold true.
The Bachelor Nation star also shared his prediction for what he thought his life would look like 10 years after the interview.
He said, “In 10 years I’ll be 30, so I’ll be married with a little boy and then one on the way. I’m gonna be that dad that goes on field trips and can beat his kid in all of the video games but still be making good money.”
He captioned the post, “15 years ago, I did a birthday interview full of predictions about my future 👴🏾🎂Only thing I could have predicted, God is so good! 🥳🙌🏾”
