Rachel Recchia & Charity Lawson Share Behind-the-Scenes Secrets from ‘The Bachelorette’
Spilling the tea!
Bachelor Nation’s official podcast, “Bachelor Happy Hour,” is back and entering a new era with former Bachelorettes Charity Lawson and Rachel Recchia stepping in as the new hosts.
And this week on their first solo episode on “Bachelor Happy Hour,” Charity and Rachel are sharing behind-the-scenes secrets from their time on “The Bachelorette.”
The two played a game called “Never Did I Ever: Bachelorette Edition” and took turns answering juicy questions about their respective seasons.
The pair started off by answering if they ever forgot a person’s name mid-conversation, and Charity replied that she had.
She said, “Oh, I have. It was Night 1, to be fair. Let’s be very clear, I don’t know anyone’s names. Not even my own. But I remember asking… one of my producers. I was like, ‘Who is this?’ and I had to ask two times. Because there were also a lot of similar names, so it wasn’t because I wasn’t into him. I think there was just a lot going on.”
Rachel chimed in and revealed surprising information about her season. “We went from 32 to, I only had like 10 guys, in like two episodes. So I feel like I knew everyone’s name. I knew so much about them because I didn’t ever date 32 guys. I dated 10, and barely at that because half of them tried to leave! So yes, I remembered the names. I was pretty good at the details.”
Charity also admitted that she would feel relieved if a date was ever canceled or shortened, saying, “Please. Every single time, every single time. Unless it was a date that I wanted to be on. Like if my one-on-ones ever got canceled, I’d probably cry. But a group date? Let’s hang it up, let’s wrap it up! I’m ready to get back in my bed.
“[But] my favorite group date of my season was the Barbie date, which I had the most fun on, so that one did not get shortened and I did not want it to get shortened,” she continued. “But it almost did because of someone on my season, but that’s neither here nor there.”
Rachel then shared that while she enjoyed most conversations with the men on her season, there was one she wanted to get interrupted and end.
She said, “There was, my Night 1, there was a magician and he sat down and he just kept doing these magic tricks and I remember me and Gabby [Windey] were sitting together and we didn’t want to be there at the same time and that was the one conversation I remember, we were like, let’s wrap it up. I don’t want to pick any more cards, please. Let’s go.”
