Jess Edwards & Spencer Conley Discuss the Realities of Moving in Together, Wedding Updates, and More!
Keeping it real.
Bachelor Nation saw Spencer Conley and Jess Edwards fall in love and get engaged on Season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since then, the two have been keeping fans updated with their adventures online and enjoying their lives as a couple. The Bachelor Nation stars recently found a home together in Texas and moved in at the end of last year.
And now, the couple is getting candid and discussing the realities of moving in together on a new episode of “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour.”
While recapping how the move went, Jess said, “It was chaos. It was honestly a lot because not only did I have to move all my things from San Diego, I basically had to double move because his lease wasn’t up. So they came and got all of my things and they were holding it in storage and then I just loaded up everything I could fit in my car and it was just kind of chilling in his little apartment for a little bit. And then at the beginning of January, we finally moved into our new place together with all of our things and our dogs. So it was a little bit of a double move for me.”
Spencer also kept it real on how it’s been officially living together, figuring out logistics, and picking out furniture.
“It’s so much better than it was trying to figure out things apart,” he said. “And having distance is tough and there were obviously a lot of logistics because two different states and we had to figure out where we were going to meet. Would it be somewhere completely different? Would I go to San Diego? Would she come to Dallas? And it was a lot of logistics to figure out, especially with leases that end on different dates and everything. So now that we’re finally here and we finally have furniture and everything, which was a whole other thing.”
“Obviously every relationship has stressors and [we felt] a lot of pressure on us individually, us as a couple with the move,” he continued, “and we made it through picking out furniture.”
Jess chimed in, “It’s so funny, the amount of DMs that I get that are like, ‘Do you and Spencer ever argue?’ I wanna be like, ‘Yeah, it took us four weeks to decide on a rug’… We made a joke, I think I commented on an Instagram post or something I’m like, ‘We literally almost broke up over a rug.’ Not actually.”
The two then gave an update on wedding plans and revealed that they are not in a rush.
“We haven’t started any planning yet,” Jess shared. “At first we were like, ‘Okay, when it’s been a year we can revisit and start planning then.’ But our biggest thing is we just want to take time and live life normally. I think that a lot of people forget we had to be hidden and also live separately for a couple months. So we lost out on a lot of time in hiding and then also waiting to actually move in together… So we were like May’s coming up quick and it’s gonna be a year. How are we feeling about planning?”
“It’s still so fresh that we’re here, so when May comes around it could very well be, ‘Oh, my gosh, okay, yeah, let’s start planning,’ but we’re not [rushing],” Spencer added.
