Hannah Brown Calls Herself an 'Adult-ish' as She Prepares For 'Dancing with the Stars'
Hannah Brown’s life is nothing like she would have imagined a year ago. From being crowned Miss Alabama USA to competing for Colton Underwood’s heart on “The Bachelor,” and then becoming the Bachelorette herself, life has been moving at the speed of sound for the Tuscaloosa native.
It’s not slowing down anytime soon, either. Hannah debuts on the “Dancing with the Stars” stage on Monday, September 16. She’s been sharing some behind-the-scenes moments from practice, including the gnarly blisters making themselves at home on her feet. The identity of her dance partner, however, is a secret until Monday.

Over the last several months, Hannah has talked about her major life moments and transitions, including getting engaged then unengaged and moving to Los Angeles. The 24-year-old has been extremely candid and open about her struggles and not trying to hide behind them anymore. One of the biggest adjustments, it seems, is living thousands of miles away from her parents in Alabama.
Hannah told Us Weekly that she talks to her parents regularly, but leans on them especially when “things just get overwhelming.” She joked to the publication, “I laugh and make fun of myself because I’m just now trying to figure out. I’m an adult-ish.”
She’s trying to discover herself after a whirlwind few months of “The Bachelorette,” and told Us Weekly, “I am gaining back control of my life in a way of like, ‘Who is Hannah Brown that’s not a pageant queen, is not a contestant on a dating show and is not the Bachelorette?’ It’s like now I’m finally being the adult Hannah Brown.”

As she adjusts to life in Los Angeles and diving back into real life (minus the whole “Dancing with the Stars” part — not all of us can do that), she’s focusing on her friendships and leaning on those close to her for support. She’s close with “papa” Chris Harrison, as well as “supportive” best friend Demi Burnett. Additionally, she’s still in touch with many men from her season of “The Bachelorette,” which she’s happy about. Hannah said, “That really touches me because each and every one of them holds [a place] in my heart and that crazy experience that we all had together.”
