Drama Bubbles Over on 'The Bachelor' — Thanks to a Bottle of Champagne
Drinks will be poured and tears will be spilled on Week 2 of “The Bachelor.”
A sneak peek of tonight’s episode shows a big scandal unfolding in Bachelor Mansion, colloquially known as “Champagnegate.”
In the clip, Kelsey tells her friends at the mansion that she brought something meaningful for Peter, explaining, “I’m excited to share a bottle of champagne with him that I’ve been saving for a very special moment. I wanted to open it the first night, but it unfortunately just didn’t happen, so I am excited for tonight.”
The other women sitting with her, including Tammy and Deandra, express enthusiasm at the idea and point out how much Kelsey is blushing. Kelsey says, “I just hope they don’t go over there,” nodding to where she placed the bottle.
The video then cuts to Peter walking with Hannah Ann, where they come across the champagne. Hannah Ann exclaims, “Champagne dress, champagne bottle!”
Peter asks if she’s “ready for this,” and next thing Kelsey and the women know, they hear a bottle popping. Tammy immediately stands up and tries to discern if the noise really was the cork flying out. Kelsey tearfully says, “That was supposed to be my moment, and she took that from me.”

Kelsey walks up to Hannah Ann and Peter, who turns around looking concerned, and then the sneak peek ends.
“The Bachelor” shared another teaser of Monday’s episode, which showcases Peter’s romantic side front and center. In it, Victoria P. tells Peter during a one-on-one talk, “I’m a nurse, and I’m usually a person that always makes sure everyone else is okay. I’ve never had anyone be that for me.”
Peter goes outside and picks roses straight off the flower-lined wall and hands them to her. “I remembered something from last night. You said you had never received flowers from someone before,” he says. “I literally just picked these right now, but with that said, these are for you.”
How will Champagnegate play out? Stay up-to-date by watching “The Bachelor” on Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
