Synopsis

“Bachelor Pad” is a competition-style show in which cast members from various seasons of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” move into Bachelor Mansion and team up for not only another chance at love but also a $250,000 prize. The contestants live together in the mansion and take part in challenges, go on dates with cast members of their choice, and choose other contestants to eliminate.

Once down to the final couples, formerly eliminated cast members return to serve as the judges, where they are given the final vote on who is the most deserving couple to be awarded the $250,000 prize. After the final vote, the winning couple participates in a Prisoner’s Dilemma, whereby the male contestant and female contestant must decide whether to keep or share the $250,000 prize.

The final twist in the show’s format is that if both contestants choose to “keep” the grand prize, the monetary prize is evenly distributed among the other eliminated contestants. If one of the two decides to keep and the other decides to share, the one who says “keep” gets all the money for themselves. If they both say “share,” they split the prize money evenly.

In the Season 2 finale, Holly Durst and Michael Stagliano, who were partners in the game but exes in real life, beat out couple Michelle Money and Graham Bunn for the chance at the $250,000 prize. Before the big reveal, Holly surprised everyone, including Michael, when she revealed that she and fellow castmate Blake Julian had become engaged right before the finale. Despite Michael’s hurt over the news, he and Holly both chose to share and split the money evenly when they had to decide how to handle the $250,000 prize.

Holly and Blake were married in 2012 and currently live in South Carolina, with their daughter, Poppy.
