Synopsis

Colton Underwood, a 26-year-old former NFL player from Denver, burst onto the scene during Season 14 of “The Bachelorette,” where it was his good looks, love for dogs, vulnerability, and willingness to discuss his virginity that charmed not only Bachelorette Becca Kufrin but all of Bachelor Nation. Colton was born in Indianapolis and grew up in the small town of Washington, Illinois. Like his mother and father before him, Colton attended Illinois State University and was a star tight end on the football team. After college, Colton pursued his dream of playing in the NFL and was signed to the San Diego Chargers. When he wasn’t on the field, Colton spent his time establishing and working with the Legacy Foundation, a charity for cystic fibrosis, a disease that his 6-year-old cousin was diagnosed with as a baby.

Colton’s journey as the 23rd Bachelor kicked off at Bachelor Mansion, where he was introduced to 30 beautiful women, all excited for the chance to find true love. As the journey progressed, Colton and the women traveled to incredible locations in Colorado, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. They were treated to surprise appearances from comedians Billy Eichner, Megan Mullally, and Nick Offerman, fitness icons Terry and Rebecca Crews, and Bachelor Nation favorite Fred Willard. They were also surprised with musical performances from Brett Young and Tenille Arts.

After visiting the hometowns of his final four, Colton and the final three women left the States and traveled to Portugal for Fantasy Suites. While on their date in Portugal, Cassie Randolph, a 23- year-old speech pathologist student from Huntington Beach, California, threw a major curveball when she told Colton she wasn’t ready for an engagement and eliminated herself from the running. In a move never seen before on the franchise, Colton, having decided that Cassie was the only one for him, sent the two remaining women home, jumped the fence, and followed Cassie back to her hotel, where he laid everything on the line.

The pair made their first appearance as a couple at “After the Final Rose” on March 12, 2019. There, they revealed that while they were not engaged, they were happily committed to each other.
