Holly Julian Celebrates Her Birthday with Beachside Getaway in Mexico
Holly Julian (née Durst) rang in her 37th birthday soaking up the sun and sitting beachside.
The “Bachelor” Season 12 alumna turned 37 on January 13, and she traveled from her home in South Carolina to Cancun, Mexico, for a festive getaway.
She shared photos and videos on her Instagram Story documenting the vacation, including slides of her friends singing “Happy Birthday” at dinner. Waiters brought her dessert with a trick candle that relit even after she blew it out a number of times. She said after attempting to put out the candle once again, “So many wishes!”

Another picture showed a piece of chocolate cake on a plate with “happy birthday” written on it. She captioned it, “Woke up from an amazing ocean nap to this.” The hotel even adorned her room with celebratory decorations and balloons. On Thursday, Holly added a picture of her feet with the crystal blue waters within reach.

The last few months have been extremely transformative for Holly and her husband Blake Julian (they met on “Bachelor Pad” Season 2). In September, Holly and Blake revealed they adopted a baby girl named Poppy after struggling for years with in vitro fertilization. On September 24, Holly posted her first photo of her baby and wrote, “She is all of our answered prayers!”

On October 8, the children’s book author shared the meaning behind their daughter’s name. “There is a very old poem that was written during WWI about the barren battlefields and how the only flower that would grow there were the poppy flowers,” she wrote on Instagram. “She is our Poppy that grew on our barren battlefields.”
Holly added she has “never felt a wholeness like this before.”
