Peter Weber Explains Why Fantasy Suites Were the 'Hardest Week of My Life'
Peter Weber's first week in Australia got off to a bit bumpy start, and now he's opening up about his feelings during Fantasy Suite week.
After the Hometown Dates Rose Ceremony, Madison confided in Peter that she was a virgin and promised herself that she would wait until marriage to have sex. This left the 28-year-old pilot conflicted and torn about how to proceed with his relationship with Madison.
She told him, "I want to be honest about who I am. Next week if you were to sleep with someone else, it would be really hard for me to move forward in this. I owe it to you to be up-front and honest with you about that."
Once in Australia, Peter went on Fantasy Suite dates with Hannah Ann and Victoria F., and later revealed to Madison, "I have been intimate." Madison walked away from their date and ultimately accepted his rose at the next Rose Ceremony after some hesitation. Now, Peter must decide if he will give his final rose to Hannah Ann or Madison.
Peter spoke with Rachel Lindsay on "Bachelor Happy Hour" after a heated "Women Tell All" about his conversation with Madison and what he wishes had happened differently.
Rachel asked how Peter felt "after getting that information you could’ve gotten Week 1."
He replied, "I don’t know if realistically that’s a Week 1 conversation. In a perfect world, I wish I could’ve known that sooner, because that made that the hardest week of my life. That was not easy at all."
Peter recalled, "I told all of the women from the first night, 'Be real with me. Share whatever is on your heart. I don’t care if you think I’m going to like it or not. I don’t care, just express it to me.'"
He went on, "That’s all that Madison was doing in that moment. Yes, I would’ve loved for her to do it way sooner, but I can’t fault her because then I’d be a hypocrite for her sharing what was on her heart. There was no easy way for her to do that."
The pilot does "wonder" why she didn't tell him earlier that she was saving herself for marriage. "I really think that would've meant something to me," he expressed to Rachel.
The "Bachelor Happy Hour" co-host joked with Peter and asked if he could ever "catch a break," to which he replied "No. The answer is no." Although he couldn't catch a break during the season, Peter admitted he feels content with his current situation.
He revealed, "The Fantasy Suite week stuff set the tone, but I can say right now, where I’m at, I am happy. I’m in a good spot."
