Dylan Barbour's April Fools' Joke About Chris Harrison Just Freaked Everyone Out
The world is strange (to say the least) right now, but that didn't stop some people from participating in age-old April Fools' Day pranks.
Dylan Barbour made jaws drop across Bachelor Nation in what many fans thought was a classic tribute post to beloved "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison. Little did they know he was trolling his followers all along.
The 25-year-old posted a photo of himself, his fiancée Hannah Godwin and Chris after the "Bachelor in Paradise" Season 6 Reunion show and paid homage to Chris' prolific career. Dylan's caption began, "I want to be the first to congratulate Chris on his retirement from ABC's 'The Bachelor' franchise! You’ve changed all of our lives for the better, and I can’t wait to see what the next phase of your life holds for you."

He continued, "With that said, I can’t believe you’ve chosen ME to take your place as the host of ABC’s The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise—although I was oddly left off Listen To Your Heart."
It jokingly went on, "You could have chosen anyone! Like Wells Adams, Blake Horseman, or even Chad Johnston. While no one can ever replace you, I promise you and all of #BachelorNation to give it my all. I love u, Chris. #HAGS"
Both "Bachelor" alumni and fans alike commented on Dylan's big "announcement," with many people noting they checked Chris' social media accounts just to see it it was true or not. Others, however, got the gist of it pretty quickly. Dean Unglert, who appeared on Season 6 with Dylan and Hannah, commented, "big news. i know you’ve been gunning for this for awhile now. you deserve it."
Newly engaged Ben Higgins wrote, "So many young people are safe trusting you with their love life."
