Trista & Ryan Sutter's Daughter Blakesley Recreates His Infamous Bucket Hat Look
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then what about recreating an infamous fashion decision caught on camera?
Blakesley Sutter, Trista and Ryan's 11-year-old daughter, paid homage to one of Ryan's more unforgettable looks on Season 1 of "The Bachelorette." Trista took a snapshot of Blakesley flashing peace signs as she donned the navy blue corduroy bucket hat with a beige stripe above the brim and posted it on Instagram.
Trista captioned it, "Bucket hat present vs past. Leave it to Blakesley to bring it back in style after 17 years!" The next photo showed Ryan wearing the cap looking very serious during one of his dates with Trista on the show.
The hat made a famous comeback on last Monday's episode of "The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!" featuring Alex Michel's season of "The Bachelor" and Trista's time as the Bachelorette. "The Bachelor" premiered in 2002 and "The Bachelorette" in 2003, therefore some fashion choices are mostly forgivable.

During the "Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!" episode, Chris Harrison called in Demi Burnett and Nicole Lopez-Alvar to analyze some of these sartorial decisions from the early 2000s. Not even Chris Harrison got off the hook for his looks. The host showed them photos from the first seasons of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," including Ryan in the bucket hat.
Nicole said, "He reminds me of the only hot guy at a Nickelback concert and you know for a fact he has 12 or 17 roommates and a twin bed."
Demi added, "To me, it looks like he's looking for a dispensary and his Hacky Sack."
Trista recently thanked her fellow "Bachelorette sisters" for being an inspiration for 11-year-old Blakesley. She posted a photo of Blakesley and JoJo Fletcher from "The Bachelorette Reunion," which aired before Hannah Brown's season and wrote about what it meant to be part of that sisterhood.
Trista wrote, "When I was asked to be The Bachelorette, I hoped to find love, but never imagined that I’d also find a sisterhood. I may be old enough to be their mothers but age differences aside, we are all bonded through a rare experience that has taken most of us on a journey to our life’s destiny...and part of that destiny for me is the blessing of being Max and Blakesley’s mother."

Her caption continued, "So, when I got to bring my baby girl to our reunion last year to meet strong, independent, authentic, intelligent, and kind women role models who have been gifted the Bachelorette experience as well, it was a full circle moment that I won’t soon forget. Thank you @joelle_fletcher and all my other #bachelorette sisters for being women that Blakesley can look to as examples and grow up to emulate."
Fashion choices from 17 years ago aside, Trista and Ryan have remained one of the strongest couples in Bachelor Nation. Ryan wrote on Instagram that he did not watch the recap episode of her season for a number of reasons.
He explained, "The 'show' was a different experience for Trista and I. For her, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity - A chance to be a Queen and the gold laden, rose covered pathway to love. For me, it was a struggle against the odds - one of many competing for moments of time, never knowing how I was perceived or what others might be doing with their moments spent with someone I was falling in love with."
Ryan spent the evening with his dog in the mountains while Trista watched with friends and cupcakes.
He wrote, "When I pulled back into the driveway, well after the final credits had rolled, smelling like bug spray and dirt, she was there to greet me looking as 'ravishing' as ever in her fancy dress with a cupcake and a kiss."
No bucket hat in sight.
