Ben Higgins & Jess Clarke Go Wedding Venue Shopping
It's starting to get real!
Ben Higgins and his fiancée Jess Clarke took the next step in their wedding planning process as they scoped out some potential locations on Tuesday. Ben posted a photo on his Instagram Story showing Jess' father Jay at the wheel and her mom in the front seat. He captioned it, "Big day! Checking out wedding venues with the future inlaws!"
Ben and Jess have been spending quarantine at both her home in Tennessee and his in Indiana, as well as days on the lake with family and stops in Colorado for top-notch hiking. Ben popped the question March 27 at the bride-to-be's home.
He wrote on Instagram March 30, "From my first date in life to the moments in between they all led me to getting down on one knee in front of you @jessclarke_ . This weekend I asked Jessica to give me the honor of being her partner for life. She said YES! I now officially have the most beautiful, kind hearted, supportive, well intentioned person to spend life with!"
The Season 20 Bachelor initially wanted to propose to Jess in Central Park during the "Bachelor Live On Stage" tour, but he changed up his plans once the coronavirus pandemic required stay-at-home orders.

This isn't the first time the future Mr. and Mrs. Higgins have checked out venues. In July, Jess posted a photo on Instagram of herself sitting on a leaf-lined swing with her mom Jill smiling by her side. She wrote, "Taking away the 'Sunday scaries' by looking through photos. To put it all in perspective, I’m very lucky. Several weeks ago we got to spend a whole day looking at #wedding venues."
