Tayshia Adams Begins Her Journey as the New Bachelorette
Allow the Bachelorette to reintroduce herself — her name is Tayshia Adams!
After a thrilling start to Season 16 of "The Bachelorette," which involved Clare Crawley finding love with Dale Moss, Tayshia now follows in the stiletto-shaped footprints of Bachelorettes before her as she takes on the new role.
This season of "The Bachelorette" was already unprecedented due to the coronavirus pandemic and quarantine protocols. Clare's departure and Tayshia's arrival highlights that fact even more.
After Clare left, Chris Harrison told the 16 remaining men that they would have a second chance at love and an opportunity to begin anew.

He said to the men as they waited to meet Tayshia, "It means a lot that everyone is taking this leap of faith and going to continue because you guys, to not fault of anybody, got a little cheated. You didn’t have an honest chance to find love."
He explained a new Bachelorette was on her way, adding, "This woman is incredible. She is smart, independent, stunningly beautiful, really kind and charismatic, wants to spend time with you guys, wants to get to know you guys, and most importantly, she really is in a place in her life where she wants to find love."
The men appeared nervous but willing to start the process over.
Jay noted, "This is a fresh start. I’m reenergized. Everyone seems reenergized."
Zac said, "My life to this point was built on second chances. I’m a guy that believes in giving second chances and taking advantage of second chances. I’m just excited."
When Tayshia exited the limo and greeted Chris, she said that his presence made her feel "at ease" and like she's "not being punked."
The 30-year-old explained she was open to having frank and honest conversations about what happened with Clare.
She said, "I am more than happy to have that conversation with them if they don’t feel like this is the right time for them or I’m not right for them."
Tayshia expressed, "I feel like this is the right moment in time. I wouldn’t be standing here if it wasn’t meant to be."
To see Tayshia's love story play out, be sure to tune in to "The Bachelorette" Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC!
