Why Mike Johnson Wants to Create 'Corny' Family Traditions
Family photos, traditions, oh my! Bring them on for Mike Johnson!
The Bachelor Nation fan favorite made it clear on Hannah Brown’s season of "The Bachelorette" that he wanted to find his "fourth queen" and start a family in the near future. He hasn’t given up on that.
Mike joined Tayshia Adams, Joe Amabile, and guest host Natasha Parker on a new episode of "Click Bait with Bachelor Nation" and spoke with them about how he’s spending the holidays and what he’s doing to cope with quarantine.
Mike returned home to San Antonio, Texas, from his new place in Austin to spend Thanksgiving with his mom instead of with roommate Connor Saeli.
"I miss my mama," he said on the podcast.
Tayshia asked if Mike had any fun family traditions, giving her family’s example of donating food and then going for a bike ride in their pajamas on Thanksgiving morning.
Mike responded, "That’s one reason why I want a family. I want to be that family that does something traditional every single year. I don’t have that yet in my family. We don’t do that."
He continued, "For whatever reason, we don’t have that camaraderie of something corny. I want to take a corny photo. I want to do that corny stuff. We don’t have that, and I wish we did."

In September 2019, when Mike spoke with Rachel Lindsay on "Bachelor Happy Hour," he opened up about his "ultimate life goal."
Mike shared, "I’m trying to have kids one day. My ultimate goal in life is to build a tree house for my kids."
