Tayshia Appears on 'Ellen,' Teases What to Expect During Hometown Dates
Tayshia Adams stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Wednesday to share some insight about what to expect during Hometown Dates when "The Bachelorette" airs in two parts next week.
When the daytime TV host asked Tayshia how she met her final four's families in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, she revealed that their loved ones came to see her at Palm Springs' La Quinta Resort & Club (where this season was taped inside of a coronavirus-free bubble).
"Yeah, surprise, surprise — the families will be coming to me," said Tayshia, who also explained how she felt about having to forgo the luxurious international getaways that "The Bachelorette" is known for due to the health crisis.
"At first, I was a little sad about it. But, to be honest with you, I thrive in the heat," said the Orange County, California, native. "Palm Springs is one of my favorite places and I feel like we were able to really have real connections."
She added that the isolation made forming meaningful relationships with her group of guys more viable. "Sometimes it’s easier to fall in love in Italy, when you’re traveling and being on a yacht and whatnot," Tayshia said. "But this time, it was just us and I thought it was great."
Elsewhere in the interview, Ellen pressed Tayshia about her revelation that she was falling in love with Zac Clark, which she divulged to the addiction specialist on Tuesday night's episode.
"I’m there to find my person. So, if it’s what I’m feeling, then I felt like, why not say it?" Tayshia said of her decision to share her feelings with Zac.
Although Bachelor Nation will have to wait to see how Tayshia’s journey unfolds, she assured Ellen that she is currently in a great place. "Yeah, I’m really happy," she teased. "I’m a really happy girl and I’m blessed."
