Bryan Abasolo Reveals Why the Timing Was Right When He Met Rachel Lindsay on 'The Bachelorette'
The stars were aligned! On this week’s episode of “Talking It Out” — which is all about how to succeed in romantic relationships — Bryan Abasolo explained to co-host Mike Johnson why the timing was right when he met his wife, Rachel Lindsay, on “The Bachelorette” Season 13 in 2017.
“Rachel and I talk about it all the time,” Bryan said. “If I would have met Rachel as 25-year-old Bryan and Rachel would have been 20 years old, we wouldn’t have worked. Absolutely not.”
He continued, “But I think we met at a time when we were both mature, we had experienced life, we’d gone on dates, we’d had serious relationships and all that. So, I think timing is everything.”
After falling in love on TV, Bryan and Rachel later wed in a gorgeous August 2019 ceremony in Mexico. On last week’s episode of “Talking It Out,” Bryan explained why trust is crucial in his relationship with Rachel, as they currently live on opposite sides of the county. While Bryan is based in Miami because of his chiropractic practice, Rachel resides in Los Angeles, where she works as an on-air host for “Extra.”
“I’m not a burden on her where I’m like, ‘Oh, you got too close to that person,’ or, ‘I didn’t like that question that you asked.’ I’m not a burden. When she’s doing her job, I want her to be the best at her job as she can be. So I’m not going to do that. I’m not going to be that jealous [spouse],” he said.
“At the end of the day, I feel like if she’s going to step out on me or someone’s going to step out on someone else, then it’s going to happen,” the doctor added. “All I can do is be secure, love her as much as possible … be in love with her, show her that loyalty, show her that trust that I have in her, and watch her flourish.”
