Tayshia Adams Poses for Marie Claire in Stunning Photo Shoot: See the Pics!
You better work! Tayshia Adams channeled her inner supermodel while posing for Marie Claire in a photo shoot published on Wednesday.
The Season 16 Bachelorette was photographed by renowned celebrity shutterbug Raul Romo, who has lensed the likes of Lady Gaga, Camila Cabello, Saweetie, and Ashanti. In a series of stunning snapshots, Tayshia looks fierce rocking an array of designer ensembles from Charles & Ron, Sorapol, and Rebel Collection.
In an accompanying profile, Tayshia opened up about her experience as the first biracial woman to lead “The Bachelorette” in the series’ 18-year history. According to the gorgeous California native — whose mother is Mexican and father is Black — it was important for her to discuss the country’s sociopolitical climate on the show as Black Lives Matter protests and filming converged in the summer of 2020.
“BLM was a big conversation that I wanted to have surrounding any of the guys that I was with,” Tayshia told the publication. “Not because it was a hot topic, but because we were experiencing it. It touched on my heartstrings, and I feel like it was a conversation that would show me where people stood.”
She continued, “There were so many emotions that were coming up. I didn’t know how to describe them.”
As viewers of Season 16 will recall, Tayshia and contestant Ivan Hall spoke candidly about the reignited racial justice movement — a direct response to the murder of George Floyd and unceasing police brutality against people of color.
“Why was I being so affected with a man that I didn’t know?” Tayshia reflected, who then surmised why, in that moment, she felt particularly connected to Ivan, who is Black and Filipino: “I’m sharing that burden with him.”
In her interview, Tayshia also spoke about her future with fiancé Zac Clark, whom she accepted a proposal from at the end of her journey as the Bachelorette.
“At first, Zac was the person to be like, ‘We could get married next week.’ And I was like, ‘Slow your roll.’ I’d love to date a year,” said the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” co-host, who lives in New York City with the handsome addiction specialist.
“And now I’m like, ‘You want to … maybe next month?’ And he’s like, ‘Tayshia, slow your roll.’ We’re back and forth. But there’s no timeline,” she added. “It’s definitely going to happen. I just don’t know when.”
