Hannah Ann Details the 'Ups and Downs' of Her Health Journey and Experience with Body Image as a Model
Hannah Ann Sluss took to Instagram on Wednesday to open up about the challenges and triumphs she’s faced in the modeling industry as it pertains to nutrition, fitness, and embracing her body.
“Might be sore today, but stronger tomorrow,” the stunning “Bachelor” Season 24 alum wrote alongside a photo of herself, clad in bright orange workout attire while posing on a Pilates reformer. “My health journey has had its ups and downs.”
Hannah Ann then explained how her experience in fashion has negatively impacted her self-esteem at times. “I started modeling at a young age and felt the pressure to look a certain way.. fit the mold that my agents or clients wanted,” she wrote. “But by far I am my own worst critic.”
The Tennessee native — who has starred in campaigns for such brands as Sherri Hill, Jovani, and Vanity Fair Lingerie — said that she makes a concerted effort to combat self-sabotaging thoughts.
“One of my goals is to not be so hard on myself. I am constantly working towards that goal everyday, it’s not something you achieve overnight!” she continued, explaining that “being healthy isn’t just physical.”
Hannah Ann elaborated, “It’s also mental, spiritual, and ultimately loving yourself to not listen to those negative voices in your own head!”
The beloved Bachelor Nation figure concluded her post with inspiring words for fans who may have encountered similar struggles. “Give yourself some grace and know that you are beautiful and strong!” she added. “I hope to share more of my fitness journey with you all!”
