Exciting, Eh? Kevin Wendt Announced as Bartender for 'Bachelor in Paradise Canada'
Kevin Wendt is heading back to “Paradise” — but, this time, up north!
One month after Citytv announced “Bachelor in Paradise Canada” will be coming to the network later this year, it was revealed on Monday that Kevin will serve as the show’s bartender.
“ANNOUNCEMENT. Raise your glasses #BachelorNation — fan favourite and Bachelor alumni @Kevin.c.wendt is our Bartender for #BachelorInParadiseCA,” a message read on the summer spin-off’s official Instagram page.

Later, Kevin took to his own account to share his enthusiasm at crafting cocktails for the incoming cast. “Most things are closed in Canada. But the bar is about to be wide open,” the handsome Toronto resident captioned a photo of himself sipping what appears to be a Moscow mule.
“@bachelorinparadiseca I’m excited to mix drinks and encourage some serious romance this summer in paradise!” he continued. “Any guesses who’s joining the cast for the epic first season?”
Kevin — whose Bachelor Nation journey has been quite unique — will be able to impart his romantic expertise to the show’s competing singles.

The Waterloo, Ontario, native appeared on Season 1 of “The Bachelorette Canada” in 2016 and ultimately won Jasmine Lorimer’s final rose. Despite getting engaged on the finale, the pair parted ways amicably in April 2017.
Later, in February 2018, Kevin participated in “The Bachelor Winter Games,” which he won with then-girlfriend Ashley Iaconetti. They continued their relationship after the show but did not get engaged. They eventually called it quits in March of that year.
Finally, Kevin found The One in “Bachelor” Season 21 alum Astrid Loch, whom he met and fell in love with on “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 5. The couple have been engaged since August 2019. Though they had plans to tie the knot on November 13, 2020, in Astrid’s native Florida, they were forced to readjust due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the deadly Tropical Storm Eta. Now, they are set to exchange vows this November.
In the meantime, Astrid will be cheering Kevin on throughout his latest Bachelor Nation gig. “You’re a WHOLE mood,” she wrote in the comments section her future husband’s Instagram post, accompanied by a heart-eyes emoji.

Astrid also showed support for the handsome firefighter via her Instagram Story, posting video footage of a Canadian TV appearance promoting his bartender role. “@Kevin.c.wendt is bartendingggggggg for @bachelorinparadiseca,” she wrote. “& I’m a super fan girl at home while he’s at work today.”
In his interview with “Breakfast Television,” Kevin teased his approach to bartending. “You want to keep your calories low because that shirt can come off at any time,” said the fitness-minded franchise star. “You never know, so you’ve got to make sure you’re in good shape. I’m probably going to stick to tequila or vodka with a little bit of soda.”
A premiere date for “Bachelor in Paradise Canada” — which promises to unite series alums and die-hard Canadian fans of the show — has yet to be announced.
