Krystal Nielson Opens Up About the 'Overwhelming' Challenges of First-Time Motherhood
Krystal Nielson opened up about the “overwhelming” challenges of first-time motherhood in an Instagram post shared on Tuesday.
“Today has been a tough day,” wrote the Bachelor Nation alum, who welcomed daughter Andara on March 31 with boyfriend Miles Bowles.
“Andara has started her 3 week cluster feeding so Miles and I have barely slept the past 3 days. Ohh how I miss those 10 hour sleeps...even when I was 9 months pregnant!” Krystal added in her caption, accompanied by a mirror selfie featuring her baby girl.
“I’m still trying to figure out a routine with a newborn- but it seems once I land one- her needs change and we start over,” the gorgeous fitness coach continued. “While all this is really overwhelming (primarily bc of sleep deprivation) deep down my heart is so fulfilled and happy... mom emotions are full swing over here.”
Krystal’s admissions come weeks after she unveiled her daughter’s unique name via social media. Throughout her pregnancy, the blonde beauty affectionately referred to her bundle of joy as “glitter baby.”
“It’s official!!! Glitter baby has a name!!!!” the franchise star captioned an adorable photo of her infant on April 5. “Introducing our beautiful angel, Andara Rose Bowles.”
Krystal and Miles — who are based in Southern California — previously told People how grateful they were to start a family. “She is a happy and calm baby and everything we dreamt she would be,” the pair told the publication on in a joint statement, announcing Andara’s birth. “We are still in awe of our little angel.”
Krystal — who split from husband and fellow “Bachelor in Paradise” alum Chris Randone in February 2020 after eight months of marriage — announced in November that she was pregnant. She and Miles began dating in the spring of 2020 after meeting through a mutual friend.
