Watch Out, JT! Here's Julia Rae Slaying the *NSYNC 'It's Gonna Be Me' TikTok Challenge
We know that Julia Rae has a strong set of pipes — but it turns out that the “Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” alum is an equally phenomenal dancer!
The musician took to TikTok this week to partake in the ubiquitous dance challenge to *NSYNC’s “It’s Gonna Be Me.”
“A day late and a dollar short, but when the @bloomsupps high energy pre-workout hits & you’re an NSYNC fangirl the #itsgonnabemay tiktok dance has to be your first,” the franchise star captioned a clip that sees her mirroring the boy band’s music video choreography move for move.
“It’s Gonna Be Me” typically surges in popularity each year at the beginning of May due to lead singer Justin Timberlake’s unique diction, pronouncing the word “me” as “May.” In recent years, a myriad of “It’s Gonna Be May” memes have flooded the Internet. Apple Music recently honored this modern social media tradition by re-stylizing the title of the 2000 hit as “It’s Gonna Be Me (It’s Gonna Be May)”.
In addition to showing off her dancing skills, Julia shared a story about the first time she saw *NSYNC live in concert.
“Side note: NSYNC was my first concert. I remember it SO vividly down to the red Hawaiian dress my 9 year old self wore,” she wrote in her post, adding that she had a crush on member JC Chasez. “I remember being in the nosebleed section praying that @jcchasezofficial would throw his sweaty towel to me.”
