Kaitlyn Bristowe on Having Babies with Jason Tartick and Why That Might Happen Sooner Than Later
Kaitlyn Bristowe stopped by “Bachelor Happy Hour” this week and updated Becca Kufrin and guest co-host Catherine Lowe on her relationship with fiancé Jason Tartick.
Following Jason’s “perfect” proposal in May, Kaitlyn revealed that they already have babies on the brain. In fact, the Season 11 Bachelorette said that she wouldn’t be surprised if she is expecting at their wedding.
“I won’t be surprised if I’m pregnant for the wedding. I don’t want to be, but that’s how anxious I am,” she noted.
Kaitlyn went on to tell Catherine that her family with husband Sean Lowe — the “Bachelor” couple share kids Samuel, 4, Isaiah, 3, and Mia, 17 months — has inspired her to try for three children of her own.
“I watch all of your guys’ posts and your respect and love for each other and the way you guys parent and your cute freaking kids, you’ve inspired me to go for three,” Kaitlyn said. “I was going to be happy at one. I’ll be happy regardless if I am able to get pregnant, obviously. That’s a blessing in itself. I have so many friends who have struggled, so I’m praying that it’s in the cards for me.”
She added, “But I’m like, ‘I can do three!’ You look glowing, rested, you’re podcasting. It seems like you have such a good team.”
Elsewhere, Kaitlyn predicted what kind of parents she and Jason will be.
“I feel like Jason and I would be similar where we would really just have each other’s backs as parents. We both have the same kind of values and things that we want for our kids,” said the Canada native, who lives in Nashville with her future husband. “I think he’s going to be a little [stricter] than I am. He’s definitely going to be better with helping with homework.”
Kaitlyn — who is looking forward to a “short engagement” with Jason — said that she wouldn’t mind conceiving during their honeymoon.
“I have met my person, we are getting married, so I do want that next step [to happen] quickly after. [That] is going to be having a family,” she said. “But I’m telling you, that honeymoon that we go on, I want it to be the trip of a lifetime because I’m gonna be like, ‘Let’s do this! Now we’re alone.’”
