Katie Thurston Reveals Her Favorite 'Bachelorette' Date — So Far
Katie Thurston stopped by “Bachelor Happy Hour” to chat with Becca Kufrin and guest co-host Tayshia Adams about her journey as the Season 17 Bachelorette.
During her interview, Katie discussed the three dates she had on Monday night’s episode. While she enjoyed a romantic one-on-one with Greg and a cowboy-themed group date that included a sexy round of shirtless mud wrestling, her favorite was the “Greatest Lover of All Time” group date.
For the date — which featured a cameo from comedian Heather McDonald — Katie’s suitors did their best to impress the sex-positive star with outrageous stand-up performances.
“Honestly, I really loved the ‘Greatest Lover of All Time’ date,” the reigning franchise lead told Becca and Tayshia. “You guys only got to see such a small portion of it, but it felt like a comedy show. It was like two hours, maybe, of just pure entertainment and laughter. And it was the first time we’re all getting to know each other as a group. It was just so much fun.”
As viewers will recall, Mike won the “Greatest Lover of All Time” title by taking a different approach — revealing he is a virgin and saving himself for marriage while reading a touching letter to Katie.
“Mike got the award just because he surprised me,” Katie recounted. “I knew ahead of time. I had this gut feeling based on his very minimal answers in the beginning. I was like, ‘Oh shoot, he must be a virgin because he looks very uncomfortable.’ I was very worried about him — and I didn’t have the opportunity to check on him before he performed.”
The Washington native continued, “So, I didn’t know what to expect. Then, when he went up there and read that letter, I was just so moved by it and how comfortable he was still pursuing me, given his beliefs, and how open and honest he was. It literally brought a tear to my eye, so he was just so deserving of the award that day.”

Katie went on to tease that Bachelor Nation will see her and Mike “move forward together.” She elaborated, “He was like, ‘I can either own it and risk possibly going home because she is sex-positive or [I can lie] about who I really am.’ So, I was just really proud of him for owning it and embracing it.”
