Katie Thurston Breaks Down Aaron & Cody's 'Bachelorette' Beef
Katie Thurston stopped by “Bachelor Happy Hour” and chatted with Becca Kufrin and guest co-host Tayshia Adams about her experience leading Season 17 of “The Bachelorette.”
During her interview, Katie discussed Monday night’s episode, which saw her mediating drama between contestants Aaron and Cody. During a cowboy-themed group date, Katie noticed tension between the two men as they wrestled shirtless in the mud.
Aaron won the fight and earned precious alone time with Katie. During their one-on-one chat, Aaron explained that he knew Cody from back home in Southern California and was certain that his nemesis didn’t enter the competition for Katie’s final rose with pure intentions. According to Aaron, Cody came on the show seeking fame.
Katie told Becca and Tayshia that she was grateful to Aaron for sharing that information.
“When he did open up, I was thankful because he is looking out for me and our relationship,” the Washington native said. “And if he has a problem, I want to know about it. And I just loved that he was very direct.”
As viewers will recall, Aaron’s revelations ultimately inspired Katie to send Cody home early before the next Rose Ceremony due to a lack of trust. “I don’t have time to play games,” she continued. “So, I really did appreciate Aaron just being straightforward and not wasting any of my time and just letting me know what’s up.”
