These Photos of Alessi Luyendyk Cuddling with Her New Baby Brother Will Melt Your Heart
Someone pass the thermometer, because we’re coming down with a case of baby fever!
Days after welcoming twins with wife Lauren Burnham Luyendyk, Arie Luyendyk Jr. shared the most adorable photos of the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Alessi, cuddling with her newborn brother.
“Already loves her brother so much,” the former Bachelor wrote via Instagram. “Thank you everyone for the kind words and for those that watched our vlog on YouTube. Emotional few days but Alessi meeting her little brother today was cuter than words could describe. We’ll post more soon just resting.”

Last month, Lauren told Us Weekly she was excited to see Alessi step into her new role as a big sister.
“I took her to her first ultrasound with me this weekend. It was fun for her to see that the lady had the ultrasound machine on my stomach, and then she could see the baby on the screen,” the Shades of Rose founder told the outlet at the time.
“I think that maybe helped her put two and two together a little bit more,” she elaborated. “She’s always talking to them, like, ‘Hi, you baby,’ and kissing them. It’s really cute.”
Arie and Lauren detailed the June 11 arrival of their twins — a boy and a girl — in a YouTube video with the title, “MEET OUR BABIES! TWIN BIRTH VLOG.” The Scottsdale, Arizona-based couple left the hospital on Tuesday, but, as Lauren revealed on her Instagram Story, they had to leave their infant daughter behind for a little while longer for unknown reasons.
“Today is so bittersweet… we get to leave the hospital,” the mom of three wrote alongside photos of her twins. “But little sis has to stay behind for now. I’ve never felt heartbreak like this. Pls say prayers for our girl.”
Arie and Lauren — who met and fell in love on “The Bachelor” Season 22 in 2018 — announced that they were expecting in December following a devastating miscarriage in May 2020.
