'Bachelor Happy Hour': Michael A. on Overcoming Tragedy and His Instant Spark with Katie Thurston
Michael A. stopped by “Bachelor Happy Hour” to chat with Becca Kufrin and guest co-host Catherine Lowe about his experience competing for Katie Thurston’s final rose on “The Bachelorette” Season 17.
The handsome single dad explained why he decided to join the show and how his parents and in-laws convinced him to give love a shot on reality TV.
Later, he reflected on the instant spark he felt with Katie after stepping out of the limo on the first night of filming — and dished on their emotional one-on-one date.
Michael also shared more about overcoming the heartbreaking death of his wife, Laura — who passed away in 2019 from cancer — and his foundation, the L4 Project, which he created in her honor. (Learn more about the L4 Project at L4project.com.)
