Jason Tartick Explains How Hard Kaitlyn Bristowe Worked for Her 'Dancing with the Stars' Win
After Kaitlyn Bristowe’s run as the Season 11 Bachelorette ended in 2015, she had dreams of one day competing on “Dancing with the Stars.”
Her wish finally came true five years later when, in 2020, she was cast on Season 29 of ABC’s hit reality competition series. Kaitlyn’s fiancé, fellow Bachelor Nation alum Jason Tartick, was by her side throughout it all — and shared in her delight and pride when she ultimately won the coveted Mirrorball Trophy alongside partner Artem Chigvintsev last fall.
“I think that celebration is two things. The same way I get excited for her successes is the same way we feel for each other’s pains. And it goes both ways,” Jason told co-hosts Mike Johnson and Bryan Abasolo on this week’s episode of “Talking It Out.”

“People are like, ‘Dude, did you lose your f--king mind when you were in that apartment? Did you lose your s--t?’” added Jason, who memorably screamed in excitement and popped champagne as he watched Kaitlyn’s win live on TV. “I’m like, ‘No, dude.’”
Jason said that his high-spirited response to Kaitlyn’s victory came following weeks of watching her work harder than he’s ever witnessed.
“I just saw my better half — the person I love to death — come home every single day just beat to s--t mentally. She was crying, her feet had calluses. That was one of the most enduring shows and times I’ve ever seen,” the handsome entrepreneur recounted. “And to see her persevere through it all… she could write a book on that whole journey. To see her come out on top of it was just electric. It was awesome.”
