This week marks five years since a very special Bachelor Nation baby was born.

On July 2, 2016, beloved franchise couple Sean and Catherine Lowe welcomed their firstborn son, Samuel.

At the time, each parent took to Twitter to share the exciting news, with Catherine teasing that she was “in love with another boy.” She wrote, “I’m in love with another boy, my son Samuel Thomas Lowe.”

Meanwhile, Sean added, “God is good! We had a healthy baby boy named Samuel Thomas. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support!”

Months before Samuel made his debut, the couple — who fell in love on “The Bachelor” Season 17 in 2013 before tying the knot in January 2014 — expressed their thoughts on becoming parents.

“I’m nervous about everything. There’s not one thing I’m not nervous about,” Catherine admitted to “Today,” while Sean expressed his enthusiasm at raising a little one: “I’m not nervous at all. I know between the two of us, we’ll be great parents.”

He continued, “There’s nothing the baby can throw our way that we won’t be able to handle. I’m not nervous. I’m excited.”

As fans are well aware, Sean and Catherine have since welcomed two more kids: son Isaiah, 3, and daughter Mia, 18 months.

During a March appearance on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, Catherine chatted with co-hosts Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin about the possibility of expanding her Dallas-based family even further.

“We’ve talked about adoption in the past, and we’re praying about it and we’re talking about it and we’re trying to see if that’s right for where we are,” the mom of three said. “But three in a pandemic under four is really tough, so we’re like, ‘Is this something that we’re capable of?’ Because we want to be present if we bring another child into [our family], whether it’s natural or it’s through an adoption agency.”

Catherine elaborated, “We’re just trying to tread water now, see what we want to do, because we really want to be present for each of our children’s chapters. And then we’ll see from there if this is something that we want to take on, because it’s a huge responsibility to bring another child in, whether it’s through pregnancy or any other means.”
