Kevin Wendt Takes the 'First of Many Selfies' with Astrid Loch's Growing Baby Bump

He can’t wait for daddy duty! Kevin Wendt took to Instagram on Tuesday to share an adorable photo of himself posing with fiancée Astrid Loch’s growing baby bump and their dog Ace.
“The first of a many selfies together,” the dad-to-be captioned the sweet snap, adding that Astrid is 20 weeks along in her pregnancy.
In May, the Toronto-based couple — who met and fell in love on Season 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise” — announced the exciting news that they are expecting their first child together following a long and arduous in vitro fertilization (IVF) journey.
“We both knew that we’re going to make great parents. We’re going to make great teammates,” Kevin told BachelorNation.com in an exclusive interview earlier this month. “And I think having that solid foundation first made IVF a lot easier to go through.”

At the time, the handsome firefighter explained how he and Astrid persevered through the toughest days of their fertility struggles.
“When we got bad news, like when she had an ectopic pregnancy or got her period after a month of trying, I was staying strong for her even though I was sad and disappointed inside,” he said. “I had to be strong for Astrid because I know she was the one putting 10 times more weight on her shoulders. I was just trying to let her vent, let her be hopeful for the next month, and we just kept plugging through.”
The pair — who are anticipating their bundle of joy to arrive this fall — are already looking forward to expanding their family in the future.
“We want to have two or three kids, and this is just the start of how we both see our forever, as a family,” Kevin added. “Astrid and I can’t wait to start this exciting new chapter as parents.”
